Sophie Keegan Baum was born in England and spent her childhood traveling between Sydney and London. This ignited an early passion for art and design. She studied as a goldsmith and gemologist before working with Chaumet in the Place Vendôme, Paris, and later went on to open her own boutique in Notting Hill, London, creating exquisite fine jewels for private clients, her great passion. During Sophie’s career, she has also designed a special piece for Hermès and collaborated with Asprey on an exclusive line.
Today, Sophie lives with her family between London, Hamburg and Sydney, and her collections are striking visual memoirs of a wonderfully eclectic life. Influenced by her family’s love of the sea, the jewellery designer is known for her signature rope rings and bangles twisted in three golds, along with her celebration collection of elegant diamond-set “Letters”.
Sensual and distinctive design is key: Sophie’s “Coloured Stone” collection of earrings and rings is a nod to the magic of Jaipur, with striking plays of colour in bold unexpected shapes. Black and silver diamond necklaces are also an important part of her collection. Exceptional craftsmanship and rare femininity lies at the core of Sophie’s creations, with each piece possessing an undeniable modernity and elegance.
